1.UVC-LED water sterilization application for sterilization objects, can be divided into static water and dynamic water bodies
Static water is for the application of water storage device, such as water purifier storage device or household humidifier storage tank. The water in the water storage device is usually stationary for a long time, and under the appropriate environment, the static water comes into contact with the bacteria carried in the air or other media and then propagates in large quantities, causing the bacteria to exceed the standard. Aiming at this point, the static water sterilization module irradiates the water body in the water storage device by fixing the amount of (radiation agent) at a certain time to achieve the effect of purifying the water body.
Water sterilization and static water is very different, water in the pipeline flow speed is faster, requiring the water over the sterilization module of the moment to fully kill the bacteria in the water, the LED power and light utilization efficiency requirements are very high, and the cost is much higher than static water sterilization. At present, the water sterilization module is mainly used in high-end household water dispensers and commercial machines.
2. For different application scenarios, the installation position and function principle of the UVC-LED sterilization module are not the same
For the consideration of maximizing the use of light, the LED light source should be as close to the sterilization object as possible.
Static water sterilization usually installs the UVC-LED module at the bottom of the water storage device, and makes direct contact with the water body through the waterproof housing window, so as to achieve the best sterilization rate. However, the location of the sterilization module is not static, and for some special applications, the sterilization module can be installed on the side or top of the water storage device. In these cases, it is necessary to conduct a specific analysis of the configuration between the "sterilization module - sterilization object" to confirm the appropriate sterilization power and effect.
Compared with static water, the water sterilization module is more independent in the water pipeline, and the installation position is relatively not so critical. However, because the water transmission pipe is easy to lead to secondary pollution, the shorter the water outlet pipe of the water sterilization module (the length of the module outlet to the user's water outlet), the better. 3. When choosing UVC-LED modules, terminal manufacturers should choose the right products according to their own needs
Module parameters can be selected reasonably from water flow or tank size, sterilization rate and service life. In addition to focusing on the initial germicidal effect of the module, its decay over time and the corresponding germicidal effect should be considered. Conditional manufacturers suggest that after getting the sample module, do a long-term aging experiment to confirm whether the sterilization rate of the module after attenuation can still meet the product requirements. Specific sterilization parameters (irradiation time, radiation power, attenuation) should be carefully defined according to the actual needs of the terminal. When selecting a sterilization module product, it is necessary to select a product that clearly identifies the ultraviolet sterilization function on the product manual and clearly identifies the ultraviolet sterilization efficiency in the third-party testing report provided by the manufacturer.
